We are looking for a Colourstrings- trained cello teacher with excellent teaching, playing and communication skills, good organisational skills, enthusiasm for working with children and knowledge of Kodály solfa. This school is highly collaborative, and an ability to work well with colleagues is therefore essential.
We would be willing to nurture the right candiate by facilitating Colourstrings training.

Teaching Cello at CMS
Children at CMS will have had a minimum of 2 years musicianship/Colourstrings kindergarten training before starting an instrument. They then take a package which includes individual lesson, group lesson or orchestra, musicianship and choir.

We are looking for a Kodály - trained choir director to take the Junior Choir at Colourstrings Musics School (CMS)
All music education at the school is based on Kodály pedagogy so the students have this common language. All students take a package of classes which includes individual lesson, group lesson or orchestra, musicianship and choir. CMS has five choirs from school year 1 to the parents' choir. The Junior Choir is for school year 3-4.

We are looking for a music school assistant who would enjoy being at the heart of our friendly and vibrant Colourstrings family!
The Music Assistant works closely with the music director and is 'front of house' on a Saturday when the school meets.
He or she will put up the noticeboard with up to date and relevant notices, run small weekly concerts called play-ins and make themselves available to answer questions from parents or teachers and chat with the children and families. They will also manage helpers to set up equipment and possibly contribute to our social media posts.
We are open to applications from anyone who feels they would like to be involved with CMS in this way. The role may particularly suit a music students who is keen to gain an understanding of arts administration and music eduation.
